FundLife launches the ‘Red Balloon Project’ in Solidarity with Every Child Impacted by Conflict

FundLife, committed to advocating for voiceless children, is proud to launch the Red Balloon Project. This initiative underscores our dedication to the world's most vulnerable children by promoting awareness, fostering solidarity, and encouraging action against the atrocities they face.

In 2023, The UN verified 32,990 grave violations against children across conflicts in Burkina Faso, Congo, Somalia, Yemen and Myanmar as well as the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Since October 8th 2023, OCHA reported over 100,000 innocent children have been seriously injured, 13,319 children killed, of which 3,100 are under 5 years old, making occupied Palestine the deadliest place in the world for children.

The staggering and almost unimaginable scale of this catastrophe can be visualised as two football stadiums filled with maimed or killed children, victims of conflicts they neither created nor chose.

The ‘Red Balloon Project’ will collaborate with partners to aid children affected by conflict, focusing on restoring hope and education through purposeful play, psychosocial support, and experiential learning. While immediate relief remains a priority, our long-term goal is to heal the deep-seated scars left by prolonged conflict.

In addition, FundLife is initiating 'Move for Peace,' a campaign encouraging individuals and organizations to engage in physical activities like walks and runs in solidarity with these children. This physical expression of support aims to build empathy and share the burden of their suffering.

By moving together, we symbolize our shared commitment to transforming empathy into action. We invite all our partners, new and existing, to stand and move with us.

For more information on how to get involved with Move for Peace or the Red Balloon Project, please contact movepeace@fundlife.org.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children who deserve a future defined by peace, not conflict.
